Malin Akerman glowed on the red carpet last night to celebrate the Missoni for Target pop-up store launch in NYC, and she had some kind words for two of her co-stars who are also looking radiant these days — effervescent lovebirds Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux, who star in Wanderlust alongside Malin. “I’m so excited, I can’t wait to see it!” Malin told reporters of her upcoming flick.
Fans are excited because that’s where Jen found love. “I know!” gushed Malin about the scene of the romance being on set.
So what was it like to watch the twosome fall in love?
“At that point we were just friends,” explained Malin. “That all happened after the fact because he was with someone at the moment. There was a lot of respect happening. I guess it was sort of like being at a commune. We all were living together. Every weekend we would hang out. Karaoke together,” she revealed.
Does Malin think it will work out?
“I don’t know,” she admitted, adding, “They’re both lovely people so I’m really happy for them. I think it’s great. Its always fun when people find love. You’re always happy for people who are in love.”
Malin Akerman has a bit of a girl crush on Jennifer Aniston, it seems, coming off filming the 2011 comedy “Wanderlust,” in which Aniston and Paul Rudd play an urban couple in search of a counterculture lifestyle.
And no, it isn’t because of any topless scene — the cast simply spent a lot of time together on location.
“She is such a loving, genuine woman and fun. You want her to be your best friend,” the “Proposal” and “Couples Retreat” actress told People on Wednesday.
Apparently, one of the benefits of being friends with Akerman is a sort of bare-bones matchmaking service as well — not the jealous type, Malin aimed to drum up some chemistry on Jen’s behalf.
“Guys, get out there! Nab her! She is every guy’s dream.”
