Malin was in attendance at the Spike TV’s “Guys Choice Awards” on Saturday to pick up the Hot ‘n’ Fresh award! She was also in attendance at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday – sporting a white pants suit and rocking it!

Malin is scheduled to make an appearance at the 2009 Guys Choice Awards!
The two-hour event will serve as a tribute to all the things that get guys’ blood pumping. Scheduled to tape Saturday, May 30 at the Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, CA, “Guys Choice” premieres Sunday, June 21 (10:00 PM – Midnight, ET/PT).
Scheduled appearances include: Malin Akerman, Anvil, Judd Apatow, Halle Berry, Russell Brand, Sacha Baron Cohen, Billy Crudup, Robert Downey Jr., Michael Irvin, Jesse James, Mila Kunis, Brock Lesnar, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Jason Statham, Quentin Tarantino, Bobb’e J. It was a wild Saturday night at Prive Las Vegas as the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino hotspot hosted the Watchmen star Malin Akerman’s 30th birthday. The rising starlet arrived at the nightclub at 11:30 with a group that included her husband and good friend, and former MTV VJ, Vanessa Minnillo. The girls were ready to party and immediately started drinking upon reaching their VIP table. Akerman drank Red Bulls with Vodka, while Minnillo sipped on Vodka Tonic drinks. Just after Midnight, Nick Lachey’s girlfriend headed up to the DJ booth and grabbed the microphone. “All the ladies say yeah,” said Minnillo into the mike. “We are here to celebrate a very special lady’s birthday.” Minnillo then led the crowd in a rendition of “Happy Birthday,” while the Prive shot girls brought out a cake shaped like a roulette wheel for Akerman. Minnillo returned to the table where the girls hugged and posed for pictures before climbing up to the speakers and dancing with a Michael Jackson impersonator. The group partied until 3 a.m. Also at Prive on Saturday, actress Sara Paxton who returned to the nightclub for a second night in a row to celebrate her 21st birthday celebration. Paxton drank Red Bulls with Vodka, flirted with guys at her table and danced until the lights came up.

Malin, along with her “The Bang Bang Club” co-stars Taylor Kitsch, Ryan Phillippe and his girlfriend, Abbie Cornish were spotted at the Coke Fest concert in Johannesburg. Here are a couple of mentions of her in some various articles.
Friday’s concert featured superstars Oasis, Panic at the Disco and Snow Patrol, plus local bands Dirty Skirts, and Zebra and Giraffe.
US actor s Malin Akerman, Taylor Kitsch, and Ryan Phillippe and his girlfriend, Abbie Cornish, were also at the event.
Celeb spottings? The Bang Bang cast were there. I had a brief chat with Malin Akerman. Lovely lady, really friendly! Ryan and Taylor were there too.

Not even the rain Monday evening could stop the celebrities from attending one of the most anticipated action films of the season. Hollywood Blvd was shut down between Highland Ave and Orange and lined with yellow carpet all the way down to screening at Mann’s Chinese Theater. Fans surrounded the streets and screamed for photos. The stars arrived around 6pm and did interview after interview after being rushed into the theater for the 7pm start time. Note to movie goers that the film is three hours long!!! So in order to the finish the entire film and still have a little after party…an on time start was a must.
So what’s the coolest part about playing a superhero? According to JACKIE EARLE HALEY he said in regards to not being able to recognize him on screen ‘That’s what I love about it. It’s the kind of thing I like to do when I can just disappear into a character.’ And as for MALIN AKERMAN she loved the fact she got to be a superhero that didn’t have any superpowers and was so relatable. Plus she was the only girl. Now for what she didn’t like was all training and having to give up chocolate, wine and pasta.
Maybe that’s the secret to losing that last few pounds. Book a blockbuster film which requires you to get into a tight spandex outfit. That’ll motivate you!
