Malin has just wrapped a new film titled “HappyThankYouMorePlease”. Check out the article below…

“How I Met Your Mother” star Josh Radnor has made his feature directing debut on “HappyThankYouMorePlease.”

Radnor wrote the script and starred in the comedy alongside Malin Akerman, Kate Mara, Richard Jenkins, Zoe Kazan, Pablo Schreiber and Tony Hale.

The comedy follows the lives and loves of six New Yorkers not quite ready to embrace adulthood.

The pic was produced by Tom Sawyer Entertainment’s Jesse Hara and Paper Street Films’ Benji Kohn, Austin Stark and Chris Papavasiliou. Glenn Williamson, Peter Sterling and Bingo Gubelmann are exec producers.

Radnor worked on the script for several years, writing during down time from the CBS sitcom. Finding the funding was the next hurdle.

“I took meetings for a long time, and everybody said they loved the script and couldn’t wait to see it, but did I have anything a little bigger, because this is a little small for us,” Radnor said.

The funding came together in time for Radnor to shoot in New York during his series hiatus. He just wrapped and will edit while back to work on the series.

“The script had gained fans, and we got a great cast,” Radnor said. “The hardest thing was switching back and forth from director to actor, though giving direction in the middle of those scenes gave me a weird and intoxicating sense of ultimate power.”

Malin Akerman of “Watchmen” fame wasn’t thrilled that she had to shave her eyebrows to play a woman with alopecia in “Happythank-youmoreplease.”

The worst part came courtesy of her husband, who christened her with a new nickname after she debuted her hair-free look for her upcoming Josh Radnor-directed flick. “I wear a bald cap for the role, too,” Akerman told us at the Svedka Music Sessions Party at the Hudson Hotel. “I sent the picture to my husband and he was like, ‘E.T. – come home!’ ”

Lots of new media has been released for Malin’s upcoming movie, “Couples Retreat”! There is a poster, production stills and trailer now online! I have added the poster and stills to our gallery, you can view those by clicking on the thumbnail to the left of this post. The trailer is now online at Apple.com/Trailers – go on over there to view it now! (I’ll be adding captures from the trailer asap)

The film is going to be released on October 9, 2009 and the film’s website is going to be located at CouplesRetreatMovie.com.

Vince Vaughn, Jason Bateman, Jon Favreau, Malin Akerman, Kristin Davis, Kristen Bell and Faizon Love star in Universal Pictures’ upcoming comedy Couples Retreat. Based on an original idea of Vaughn’s, the comedy follows four Midwestern couples who embark on a journey to a tropical island resort. While one of the couples is there to work on their marriage, the other three set out to jet ski, spa and enjoy some fun in the sun. They soon discover that participation in the resort’s couples therapy is not optional. Suddenly, their group-rate vacation comes at a price. What follows is a hilarious look at real world problems faced by all couples. The film also stars Kali Hawk and Jean Reno.
