Ask ‘Couples Retreat’ Stars a Question

Vince Vaughn and Jon Favreau are back together again, but this time they’re not scouring Vegas for beautiful babies, they’re headed to Bora Bora for a ‘Couples Retreat’ (opening Oct. 9). In the comedy penned by Vaughn and Favreau, Jason Bateman and Kristen Bell, hoping to amend their fractured relationship, invite their friends — three couples including Vaughn and Malin Akerman, Favreau and Kristin Davis, and Faizon Love and Kali Hawk — to a resort that offers a number of couples exercises. It’s not until they arrive that they find out that they must take part in the hours of therapy and dreadful bonding exercises, or get off the island.

We’ll be sitting down with the entire cast of ‘Couples Retreat’ for video interviews (and a little therapy of our own) next week — and we want you to give us the questions to ask.

Ever wonder if Jon and Vince are as close as they were when they filmed ‘Swingers’? Or if Kristin Davis has anything to share about a certain sequel that’s filming in New York? Oh, and, speaking of sequels, how about some deets on ‘Iron Man 2′?

Submit your burning questions in the comments below by Tuesday, Sept. 22 and come back on Tuesday, Oct. 6 to see if it made the cut!

You can submit your question at Moviefone.com

Malin on “Self” Magazine

Malin and her “Couples Retreat” co-stars, Kristen Bell and Kristin Davis, are featured on the cover and inside October 2009 issue of “Self” magazine!

The magazine is in stores on September 22nd – you can also see some behind the scenes moments of their feature on Self.com.

What a day…at our October cover shoot we had over 500 pairs of jeans, 400 white shirts, 30 trays of jewelry from designers like Me&Ro and H.Stern, 250 berry-colored dresses, 250 pairs of shoes in 3 different sizes, not to mention each girl had their own hair and makeup team and individual shots to set-up. It was crazy. If there ever was a day I wished I was an octopus or I could have just split myself it three–that was it.

However, these three women were just AWESOME.

Malin was the first to arrive and she was such a dream. Warm, friendly, has that smile that makes you smile. And a body you could just die for. Basically, trying clothes on her was a piece of cake (I wish all my fittings were that easy).

Kristen Bell walked in second. What a dreamboat. Cute, sexy, and sporty all rolled into one. We had worked together a few years ago for Self, which she remembered (love her.) She also was so easy and fun. I was getting nervous for Kristin Davis since I just loved her on Sex in the City…

When she arrived she also was so cool and beautiful. And the first dress we tried was a perfect fit. She was very funny and comfortable with herself.

So even though I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off from one studio to the next (check out the behind the scenes video here,) the day went great because these women were so wonderful, beautiful and easy…go girls. I can’t wait to see their movie, Couples Retreat.

Malin in “HappyThankYouMorePlease”

Malin has just wrapped a new film titled “HappyThankYouMorePlease”. Check out the article below…

“How I Met Your Mother” star Josh Radnor has made his feature directing debut on “HappyThankYouMorePlease.”

Radnor wrote the script and starred in the comedy alongside Malin Akerman, Kate Mara, Richard Jenkins, Zoe Kazan, Pablo Schreiber and Tony Hale.

The comedy follows the lives and loves of six New Yorkers not quite ready to embrace adulthood.

The pic was produced by Tom Sawyer Entertainment’s Jesse Hara and Paper Street Films’ Benji Kohn, Austin Stark and Chris Papavasiliou. Glenn Williamson, Peter Sterling and Bingo Gubelmann are exec producers.

Radnor worked on the script for several years, writing during down time from the CBS sitcom. Finding the funding was the next hurdle.

“I took meetings for a long time, and everybody said they loved the script and couldn’t wait to see it, but did I have anything a little bigger, because this is a little small for us,” Radnor said.

The funding came together in time for Radnor to shoot in New York during his series hiatus. He just wrapped and will edit while back to work on the series.

“The script had gained fans, and we got a great cast,” Radnor said. “The hardest thing was switching back and forth from director to actor, though giving direction in the middle of those scenes gave me a weird and intoxicating sense of ultimate power.”

A hairy – or hairless – situation

Malin Akerman of “Watchmen” fame wasn’t thrilled that she had to shave her eyebrows to play a woman with alopecia in “Happythank-youmoreplease.”

The worst part came courtesy of her husband, who christened her with a new nickname after she debuted her hair-free look for her upcoming Josh Radnor-directed flick. “I wear a bald cap for the role, too,” Akerman told us at the Svedka Music Sessions Party at the Hudson Hotel. “I sent the picture to my husband and he was like, ‘E.T. – come home!’ ”
